Polished and modern, yet soft and casual. Introducing Calvin Klein Jeans for Fall 2008.

Fabrics. Clean denim comes in medium to dark washes, as well as saturated black, for a smooth refined look. Copper and iridescent finishes throughout lend an updated accent. Protective materials such as nylon are important for men in outerwear. Prints and patterns such as painterly designs and abstracts continue to be prevalent, while wool and plaid coats are new for women.  Cable-knit and ribbed cotton sweaters in solids and marls, the perfect touch for fall.

Fits. Higher waists this season with wide or flared leg, or a lean boot cut for women.  Classic straight-leg cut with a slight boot-leg for men. Women’s tops are fitted and lean for a sleek silhouette, juxtaposed with the more relaxed blouson or slouchy men’s sweatshirts. Capes are new for women, and cardigans for men.

Color. The first palette consists of lotus, black, iguana, willow green eyes frosted amethyst, and gypsy. The second palette is made up of lotus, lava love, rhubarb, deep garnet, toffee, calderwood, and afrique.  The last palette ranges from shades of white, seagull, and saltwater, to azurite, firecoral, sangria, piazza, and black.

Details. Rear pocket treatments such as embroidery, signature omegas, and flaps offer an urban feel. Bronze and copper can be found in the tone rivets and button shanks as well as in the stitching, adding a novel touch. Cardigans, a new form of outerwear for both men and women, have zippers and buttons.
